Comments
The building is between Union Street and Copperfield Street (formerly Orange Street). Further research is necessary, but part of the buildings are the remains of Robson's important exemplar early school, illustrated in his book, of 1874. The second floor was completely removed following bombing in 1940. Other parts of the building are an enlargement by Bailey from 1892. The Union Street front includes an unusual single storey block with (now) blind windows. There have been further alterations and additions as part of its conversion to its current use in 1998.
